Abstract:
The water pump of the present invention comprises: a lower casing; a fixed shaft fixed to the center of the lower casing; a stator disposed within the lower casing; an outer rotor disposed at a certain distance from the outer peripheral surface of the stator and rotatably supported on the fixed shaft; an upper casing sealingly mounted on top of the lower casing and having an inlet and an outlet formed therein; an impeller disposed within the upper casing and rotatably supported on the fixed shaft; and a power transmitting unit installed on the impeller and the rotor, which transmits the rotational force of the rotor by means of magnetic force to the impeller, wherein the inflow of water into the lower casing can fundamentally be prevented, and the fixed shaft rotatably supports the rotor and also rotatably supports the impeller to thereby align the axial centers thereof.
