The present invention makes it possible for treated water, in which aggregates have been adequately generated, to flow from a stirring tank into a filtration tank without providing a settling tank, thereby preventing clogging of the filter in the filtration tank, making continuous treatment of water that is to be treated possible, and minimizing the size of the water purification apparatus. A water purification apparatus is provided with: a stirring tank 1 in which, to water W to be treated that is deposited therein, a flocculant G for aggregating microparticles in the water W being treated is added and stirred, the tank being capable of discharging the water being treated prior to completion of the generation of aggregates by the flocculant G; and a filtration tank 30 for filtering the water W being treated that has been discharged from the stirring tank 1. Between the stirring tank 1 and the filtration tank 30, a generating pipe 40 is provided through which the water W being treated, which has been discharged from the stirring tank 1, flows and in which, while the water flows therethrough, the generation of aggregates by the flocculant G is completed as much as possible. Said generation pipe 40 is formed in a helical shape and wound on the outside of the filtration tank 1.
