Abstract:
A problem associated with conventional seawater desalination devices is that the devices are heavy and large and therefore can be installed only in specific locations.
A water purification device has: a pretreatment filter (5) for removing coarse foreign substances from water; an RO membrane filter (7) for removing impurities from the water having been filtered by the pretreatment filter; a force pump (6) driven by a DC motor and delivering water to the pretreatment filter (5); a pressurizing pump (8) driven by a DC motor and delivering water to the RO membrane filter (7); an input generator (2) for generating electric power for driving the force pump (6) and the pressurizing pump (8); and a case (12) for housing the pretreatment filter (5), the RO membrane filter (7), the force pump (6), and the pressurizing pump (8). Electric power is supplied to the force pump (6) and the pressurized pump (8) through a connectable and disconnectable electrical cable (15) from the input generator (2) located outside the housing case (12).
