CLAIMS
The claims defining the invention are as follows;
1. The W.P.P. is made from black plastic with a horizontal dhάding tray with a gap
between the tray and the internal walls of the pipe.
2. A W.P.P. as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tray is supported by lugs which allows
for the gap for water to pass into bottom section of the pipe.
3. A W.P.P. substantially as herein before described with reference to figures 1, 2, and 3
of the accompanying drawings. |
WATΈR PURIFICATION PIPE
( W. P. P. )
This invention has been specially designed to provide fresh water from salt water or
contaminated water by heat from solar power.
The W.P.P. which would be manufactured in black plastic preferable recycled plastic
is basically round with an internal tray positioned horizontally across the pipe dividing
the pipe into three sections, see fig. 1.
The salt water is fed into one end of the pipe directly on to the tray section, as it travels
down the tray by gravity, as the W.P.P. is installed with a degree of fall from one end to
other see fig 3, the salt water is heated by the sun and the oven effect of the black plastic
which turns the salt water into steam which rises up into the top section hitting the ceiling
of the pipe and turning back into a liquid form which runs down the sides of the pipe past
the tray lugs and into the bottom section where it gathers and forms to flow by gravity to
exit the W.P.P. as fresh water to then be collected and distributed.
The excess salt water exiting the tray section, now with a high salt content can then
either be farmed to produce salt or directed back to the source
The three sections of the pipe can be bolted together at the joining flange or a clip
lock system can be utilized, all joints need to be watertight to prevent cross
contamination.
The complete W.P.P. system will be manufactured in kit form to fit in to a
container for transport.
The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations
of embodiments of the invention which;
Figure 1 is a cut through section of the pipe showing the tray section which carries
the salt water,
The top section where the steam rises and hits the ceiling and turns back in to liquid form,
The bottom section where the fresh water collects.
Figure 2 is a plan view with the top section removed showing the salt water tray
and the gap between the tray and the sides of the pipe and the lugs which support the tray,
It also shows the joining flange which supports the tray lugs.
Figure 3 shows the complete W, P, P. system installed
