Abstract:
Provided are a water purification system and an addition unit used by the same that are convenient and that are such that it is possible to improve the state of health of a user by generating electrolyzed water that contributes to improvement of intestinal mucosa. This water purification system S is applied to water W1 that flows into a water supply pipe, and comprises an electrolysis unit 1 that electrolyzes the water W1 and generates electrolyzed water W2, and an addition unit 2 that adds a solution X of an antioxidant to the electrolyzed water W2. The addition unit 2 has an accommodation part A that accommodates the solution X, and a conveyance means B that conveys the solution X to the water supply pipe from an outflow port p of the accommodation part A.
