Abstract:
A water purification system requiring no power for a riparian area of an artificial wetland comprises a riparian wetland area (6) constructed along a river/lake/pond water-land interface strip (1). The riparian wetland area (6) comprises a plurality of staggered wetland area islands (2) and a water channel formed between adjacent wetland area islands (2). A bottom surface of the riparian wetland area (6) is lower than a normal water level of river/lake/pond (3), and a top surface of the wetland area island (2) is the same level as the normal water level of the river/lake/pond (3). Plants are grown on the wetland area island (2) so as to lower a constructed embankment (5) between the riparian wetland area (6) and the river/lake/pond (3), and a top surface of the embankment (5) is arranged between the bottom surface of the riparian wetland area (6) and the top surface of the wetland area island (2). The system combines, on the same piece of land, river/lake/pond water purification and shore afforestation, and thus the system preserves an original land afforestation effect while further providing a purification effect with respect to the river/lake/pond water, thereby providing a favorable and ecological landscape, requiring simple management, or no management, requiring no power and no energy consumption, and being permanent and stable.
