Abstract:
Proposed is a water purification system, for example, suitable for improving the efficiency of water purification. A water purification system 1 purifies water. The water purification system 1 comprises: a first water storage tank 7; a second water storage tank 19; and a coupling part 17 coupling the first water storage tank 7 and the second water storage tank 19. Water in a water flow part 3 flows into the first water storage tank 7, and moves downward. A first purification part 13 purifies, in the first water storage tank 7, the downward-moving water by using, for example, a layer of single grained crushed stones. The water that has moved downward in the first water storage tank 7 moves upward through the coupling part 17, and flows into the second water storage tank 19. The water that has flowed into the second water storage tank 19 moves downward. A second purification part 25 purifies, in the second water storage tank 19, the downward-moving water by using, for example, a layer of single grained crushed stones. The water purified in the second purification part 25 is discharged into a water storage part 5.
