Abstract:

A water purifier of the present invention checks coolant temperature information about the temperature of a coolant contained in a water tank which is detected by a temperature detection unit, performs, on the basis of the checked coolant temperature information, a first mode in which a compressor and an agitator are simultaneously operated such that the temperature of the coolant can be cooled to below a preset ice-making temperature, performs a second mode of stopping the agitator and maintaining the operation of the compressor for a preset ice-making time such that ice can be generated around an evaporator in the water tank when the coolant is cooled to below the preset ice-making temperature, and, when a preset ice-making time has elapsed from the time when the operation of the agitator is stopped, performs a third mode of re-operating the agitator such that the agitator and the compressor operate simultaneously so as to maintain the ice around the evaporator in a frozen state.
