Abstract:
The present invention provides a water-repellent agent of a silicone-based emulsion comprising a silicone oil, an emulsifier and water, wherein the silicone oil contains (a) a first alkylalkoxysilane having an alkyl group of 6 to 20 carbon atoms, (b) a second alkylalkoxysilane of 1 to 6 carbon atoms having an acryloyloxyalkyl group or a methacryloyloxyalkyl group, and (c) a third siloxane-based compound; and a water-repellent processing method using the same. The present invention is not only harmless to humans and the environment, but also can exhibit excellent water repellency and excellent water-repellent and washing durability.
