Abstract:
Provided is a water repellent composition which contains: (A) 100 parts by mass of an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having a viscosity at 25°C of 5-1000 mPa·s; (B) 5-100 parts by mass of a (meth)acrylic polymer containing a specific constituent unit; (C) 0.5-50 parts by mass of a surfactant; (D) 0.1-100 parts by mass of a condensation reaction catalyst; and (E) 50-3000 parts by mass of water, and which exhibits an excellent water repellency effect, can impart fibers with favorable flexibility/feeling following the treatment, and can maintain good water repellency after being laundered.
