Abstract:
The present invention relates to a water resource preservation system using a multi-layered block pavement, which forms multiple U-shaped, circular, semi-circular, elliptical or polygonal spaces within a block body by using a predetermined material and is involved in flood control, drought prevention, water resource preservation and prevention of sea-level rise, and a construction method of the same. According to the present invention, a block with drainage grooves and multiple storage spaces formed therein is used as a road pavement so that not only rain on the road but also rainwater collected from areas around the road may flow down the road via U-shaped drainage grooves that are formed in individual block bodies paved on the road. In addition, the multi-layered block provides an enlarged storage space per unit area to be able to keep or accommodate even a rainwater outflow from lands around the road, which are 2 to 100 times larger than the area of a regular road. Therefore, the present invention provides effective ways of managing and preserving rainwater that has fallen down on the ground as well as of preventing natural disasters.
