Description:
INTERNATIONAL PATENT APPLICATION

WATER REVEAL OBJECTS AND METHOD OF USING SAME

BACKGROUND

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to arts and crafts.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Water reveal technology has been applied to coloring books, including those sold under the trade name WATER WOW by Melissa & Doug.

[0003] For example, the GLOMANIA Hydrochromic Water Re-Active Ink is a white based hydro product, meaning that when coming in contact with water, the chemical composition changes causing the Hydrochromic Re-Active Ink to go from a white to a clear. When the Hydrochromic Re-Active Ink dries, it reverts back to its original white color, covering anything painted underneath.

[0004] Applying such technology to other substances creates challenges.

[0005] For example, it could be advantageous to use water reveal technology with three dimensional objects, such as models of animals, figurines or other objects (such as toy vehicles such as toy planes), however, such models are typically made out of wood, which is problematic because wood is damaged by water.

[0006] Thus, there is a need for processes and kits that use water reveal technology without damaging the components making up the models.
