Abstract:
Provided is a highly transparent water-soluble film mainly made of a PVA resin. When a test piece of the water-soluble film unaxially stretched under the conditions (α) shown below is observed under crossed nicols, the test piece has 50 or less dark defects having a diameter of 1 to 5 mm per 5 cm × 5 cm area of the test piece before the uniaxial stretching. (α): A 25 cm (length) × 13 cm (width) test piece is cut out from the water-soluble film, and mounted on a stretcher so that the chuck-to-chuck distance in the longitudinal direction of the test piece is 11 cm, and the test piece is unaxially stretched at a temperature of 23ºC, a humidity of 50% RH, and a stretching rate of 3 mm/second to achieve a stretching ratio of 1.2.
