Abstract:
Provided is a water-soluble hyaluronic acid gel that is in a highly stable gel form even at a low temperature, despite being substantially free from any gel-forming component other than hyaluronic acid and containing a saccharide (excluding a liquid polyhydric alcohol being liquid at 25°C).
The water-soluble hyaluronic acid gel comprising hyaluronic acid, a saccharide (excluding a liquid polyhydric alcohol being liquid at 25°C) and water, wherein: the moisture content thereof exceeds 30 mass%; the water-soluble hyaluronic acid gel is substantially free from any gel-forming component other than hyaluronic acid; and the pH value of an aqueous solution thereof is within the range of 1.9-6.3, said pH value being measured by the following method.
(Method for pH measurement)
In the aforesaid water-soluble hyaluronic acid gel in an amount of containing 1 g of hyaluronic acid, all ionic components excluding water are dissolved in water and the volume is made up to 200 ml to thereby prepare an aqueous solution. Then, the pH value of the obtained aqueous solution is measured.
