Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a water-soluble silicone anti-foaming agent composition which can exhibit uniform solubilization with an aqueous phase, meets the WHO-defined property of being free of volatile organic compounds (VOC), and exhibits excellent anti-foaming characteristics and storage stability; and an aqueous coating material additive and aqueous coating material using same. [Solution] A water-soluble silicone anti-foaming agent composition that contains: (A) a polyether-modified silicone or polyglycerol-modified silicone having an average HLB value within the range 0.5-5.0, or a mixture of these; (B) at least one selected from between triethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether and triethylene glycol butyl methyl ether; and (C) water.
