The present invention relates to a water supply system including an independent electric generator which is applied to a water supply system, which successively decompresses high pressure water supplied from a water collection tank in hilly regions to supply the water up to homes in low-lying areas, and to rotate a water wheel using water pressure energy that was previously wasted by a decompression valve, and is driven by the water wheel to drive a generator, thereby generating electric energy. The water supply system includes: a water collection tank disposed in the hilly regions; a water supply line connected to the water collection tank and to which a plurality of large-sized downward water supply pipes is connected; a driving device including a household water supply pipe connected to a water supply pipe disposed on an end of the water supply line to connect the water supply line to each home in the low-lying areas, and a water wheel installed in each of the large-sized water supply pipes and rotated by a flow of water flowing into the water supply pipe to perform a deceleration function and an electric power generation function; and a generator connected to the driving device to generate electric power by the rotation force of the water wheel.
