A water tank circuit of a cleaning device, comprising a water tank control circuit comprising a single-chip machine, an NPN transistor, a MOS transistor, a resistor R1, a resistor R2, a resistor R3, a water tank power supply output device, and a water pump connection joint (J). An IO port (1) of the single-chip machine is connected to a base (B) of the NPN transistor via the resistor R1. An emitter (E) of the NPN transistor is connected to the ground. A collector (C) of the NPN transistor is connected to a gate (G) of the MOS transistor via the resistor R2. A drain (D) of the MOS transistor is connected to the water tank power supply output device via the resistor R3. A source (S) of the MOS transistor is connected to the water pump connection joint (J). A water pump of the water tank can be effectively turned on or turned off by the water tank control circuit. A water tank detection loop and a water tank level detection loop are also provided in the water tank control circuit, thereby enabling fast detection of whether the water tank is in place and whether there is water in the water tank to enhance intelligent operations of the cleaning device. The invention also discloses a cleaning device comprising the water tank circuit, and a method for controlling a water tank of a cleaning device.
