Abstract:
This water treatment apparatus includes: an upflow anaerobic reactor that has an inflow part for water to be treated and an outflow part for treated water, which is located above the inflow part, said reactor holding water to be treated, which contains anaerobic sludge, to the height of the outflow part; and a liquid supply tube provided to the anaerobic reaction tank. The supply tube has an opening located at a region corresponding to the upper 1/3 of the water to be treated in the anaerobic reaction tank or at a position above the water surface, and the opening is oriented in a substantially horizontal direction.
