Also disclosed is a water treatment machine, comprising: a softening device (30), comprising at least one softening box (31); and a housing (50), wherein the housing (50) comprises a casing (51); the casing (51) of the housing (50) forms an inner chamber (501); the softening box (31) of the softening device (30) is provided in the inner chamber (501); the casing (51) of the housing (50) and the softening box (31) of the softening device (30) form a salt chamber (330) therebetween which is used for containing salt and saline; the housing (50) is further provided with a viewing opening (504) and a viewing window (54) that are facing the salt chamber (330) of the softening device (30); the viewing window (54) is arranged facing the viewing opening (504) of the housing (50); and the viewing window (54) is made of a transparent material.
