A waterfall tap comprising a housing body (1) and disposed within same a main tap body (2) consisting of an upper tap cover (21) and a lower tap cover (22); a chamber (23) for containing water is arranged at the rear portion of the lower tap cover (22), the forward wall of said chamber (23) being provided with a water outflow channel (24) and the rear wall thereof being provided with a water inflow channel (25) connected to external water mains; arranged directly in front of the water inflow channel (25) is a flow divider block (26) serving to divide the incoming water flow and to block direct flow to the outflow channel (24), said flow divider block (26) being positioned between the water inflow channel (25) and the outflow channel (24) in such a way that a gap allowing water flow is left between the block and the inner walls of the chamber (23); one or more rows of flow-speed reducing studs (27) are placed at or near to the outflow channel (24); a long, flat water outflow port (20) is provided at the front of the lower tap cover (22), and a long, narrow water outlet (10) is arranged in the front portion of the housing body (1). The waterfall tap having the described structure is silent in use and provides water outflow in a continuous unbroken sheet.
