Abstract:
A watering system comprises a water supply valve that controls the amount of discharge water released from a water supply passage to the soil of a field, a soil sensor that detects the amount of moisture in the soil, and a control device that controls the valve opening degree of the water supply valve. The control device determines the valve opening degree for minimizing divergence between the amount of moisture in the soil and a target threshold value when the value of the amount of moisture in the soil detected by the soil sensor falls below the target threshold value. The control device controls the water supply valve to a valve opening degree determined in accordance with the deviation between the target threshold value and the amount of moisture in the soil detected by the soil sensor.
