Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air lubrication device, which sprays air along the lower surface of the bottom of a hull so as to reduce hydraulic resistance generated by viscous friction with seawater during ship maneuvering, and to a waterjet-type air lubrication device having a base hole formed at the bottom of the hull, having an accommodation casing connectively provided along the edge of the base hole, having a partition plate which is provided in the center of a cover plate connected to the upper end side of the accommodation casing and which divides the inner space of the accommodation casing into a stem-side seawater injection space and a stern-side air guide space, and having a water current guide plate that has a spray nozzle and is connected to the lower end of the partition plate, wherein the stern-side rear end portion of the water current guide plate is spaced a predetermined distance from the base hole at the lower side of the base hole so that an outlet at the rear end of the water current guide plate is formed as a low-pressure region when the seawater having been injected into the seawater injection space is sprayed at high speed through the spray nozzle, and external air automatically flows into a corresponding space while the seawater stored in the air guide space is suctioned out through the outlet of the water current guide plate, and thus the external air is stably distributed a relatively far distance away along the lower surface of the bottom of a ship while forming a wide bubble lubricating layer of small particles by means of the jetting speed and jetting pressure of the seawater having passed through the spray nozzle.
