Abstract:
Provided are a watermark image OCR method and a system thereof, the method comprising the following steps: correcting coordinates of an image; acquiring a watermark identifier of the image; calibrating corresponding coordinates of an area of the watermark identifier portion; extracting the area including the watermark identifier portion; removing the area including the watermark identifier portion from the image; carrying out greyscale processing on the area including the watermark identifier portion; carrying out USM sharpening processing on the area including the watermark identifier portion; carrying out binarization processing on the area including the watermark identifier portion; combining the area of the watermark identifier portion after binarization processing with an original image according to the coordinates; and executing OCR. In the method, a pattern of a watermark portion is extracted for greyscale processing, sharpening processing and binarization processing, and the pattern is then combined with an original image so as to be uniformly subjected to OCR. Since an image of an area of the watermark portion is merely processed, difficult entire image recognition caused by uniform processing is avoided, and characters of the watermark portion are highlighted, so that the recognition accuracy of the characters of the watermark portion can be effectively improved.
