Title:
WATERPOOF GLOVES AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/074382
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to waterpoof gloves comprising a liner, an outer layer and a mid-layer, and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises: 1) a step for preparing an adhesive member in which an ordinary adhesive portion and a hot-melt portion are symmetrically arranged on either side of a cloth; 2) a step for cutting the adhesive member in a certain shape and attaching a certain portion of the exterior of the liner thereto; 3) a step for bonding the mid-layer to the liner with the attached adhesive member; 4) a step for heating the bonded portion of the mid-layer and adhesive member; 5) a step for attaching the adhesive portion of the adhesive member to a certain portion of the exterior of the mid-layer attached to the liner; 6) a step for bonding the outer layer to the mid-layer which is attached to the adhesive member and bonded to the liner and setting the layers in a mold; 7) a step for bonding the outer layer and the mid-layer of the set gloves in a setting device heated to a certain temperature; and 8) a step for withdrawing the gloves from the setting device. The present invention according to the method: 1) enables the outer layer, liner, and mid-layer attached therebetween to be thermally fused with each other by using the adhesive member having the hot-melt portion, thereby removing the necessity of the process of sewing a tab, simplifying the manufacturing process, and improving work efficiency; 2) lowers detachment rate of the outer layer, liner, and mid-layer comparing with the method for sewing the tab, thereby reducing defect rate remarkably; 3) removes the sewing process for attaching the tab, thereby preventing defects in waterproofing caused by damage of the mid-layer occurring when a sewing needle passes through, and improving water-resistance; 4) obtains a wind-shielding effect by blocking the wind penetrating through the sewing lines of the gloves by attaching the adhesive member in the manner of a thimble to the end of the finger of the liner; and 5) obtains a bonding effect by enabling attachment to the appropriate portion of the mid-layer of the gloves using the adhesive member without a bonding treatment.
