Abstract:
A waterproof connector is provided with: a housing (10) comprising a partner-side connector accommodation section (S) that is recessed, that comprises an insulating resin, that opens in the fitting direction (C) with a partner-side connector, and in which the partner-side connector is accommodated; and at least one contact (20) that is formed integrally with the housing (10). The contact (20) comprises: a contact section (21) that protrudes within the partner-side connector accommodation section (S) from the bottom (10C) of the housing (10) in the fitting direction (C) of the partner-side connector accommodation section (S) and that is connected to the contact of the partner-side connector; a contact-side substrate connection section (22) that is exposed from the housing (10) and that is connected to a substrate; and a contact-side fixing section (23) that connects the contact section (21) and the contact-side substrate connection section (22) and that is embedded within the housing (10). The housing (10) comprises at least one contact adhesion force-generating recess (40) that is formed in the bottom (10C) of the partner-side connector accommodation section (S) so as to communicate with the interior of the partner-side connector accommodation section (S) and that generates adhesion force toward the contact-side fixing section (23) at a part of the housing (10) which is brought into contact with the contact-side fixing section (23) of the contact (20) by water pressure when water has entered the partner-side connector accommodation section (S).
