Abstract:
Problem: To provide a waterproof member and a waterproofing method whereby good waterproofing can be ensured. Solution: An insulating waterproof member that waterproofs a connecting portion of a cable, comprising a sheet member that covers the connecting portion, wherein the sheet member has a body portion for covering the connecting portion in which an adhesive material layer comprising a material having adhesive properties with respect to the connecting portion is laminated onto a first face, and an extending portion that extends in a first direction from the body portion, the extending portion being able to apply pressure on the body portion that covers the connecting portion with a first region at one end side of the body portion in a second direction that intersects the first direction and a second region at another end side of the body portion.
