Abstract:
A waterproof USB socket, comprising a connector, a metal housing sleeved on the periphery of the connector, a waterproof glue filled in a tail portion of the connector, and a waterproof ring sleeved on the periphery of the metal housing; the connector comprises a metal intermediate plate, first and second terminal groups respectively provided at the upper and lower sides of the metal intermediate plate, and an insulating body for enabling the metal intermediate plate and the first and second terminal groups to be integrally fixed; the insulating body comprises a base portion, a step portion extending forward from the base portion, and an abutment portion formed by extending forward from the step portion; the metal housing comprises an inner metal shell having a seamless peripheral wall; a stopper is integrally formed on the base portion of the insulating body; the stopper comprises a spot welding platform and a stopping portion formed on the front end surface of the base portion by bending forward from the spot welding platform and extending downward; and the spot welding platform of the stopper is in contact with the inner metal shell and the two are integrally formed by means of spot welding. The present application also provides a manufacturing method for the waterproof USB socket.
