Abstract:
In the present invention, wires of a wire harness are waterproofed reliably without filling the wire harness with any waterproofing agent. This waterproofing structure is provided with a protector to be fitted and connected to the water-exposed front end of a grommet attached to a through hole of the body panel. The group of electric wires of the wire harness, which are to be continuously inserted into the grommet from the protector, are kept under a condition wherein the wires are not tied using a tying material. The protector comprises: a protector body that has a vertical wall which is projected downward at the central section, and which has a push-down partition wall at the central section, top and bottom walls which project from the top and bottom edges of the vertical wall, and a drainage hole on the bottom wall; and a cover for closing up the opening facing the vertical wall of the protector body.. The group of electric wires of the wire harness inserted through the protector are bent into a U-shape using the push-down partition wall while the wires are positioned parallel to each other with an interval therebetween.
