Abstract:
The present invention relates to a watertight ultraviolet sterilizer, and more particularly, to an ultraviolet sterilizer which comprises: a body including an inlet portion into which ballast water flows, and an outlet portion from which the ballast water that flows into the inlet portion and is then sterilized is discharged; and an ultraviolet sterilization unit including an ultraviolet lamp disposed in the body to irradiate ultraviolet rays to the ballast water for sterilization. The ultraviolet sterilizer further includes a cap fixing and supporting both ends of the ultraviolet sterilization unit, wherein the cap is coupled in a water-tight manner with the body. According to the ultraviolet sterilizer of the present invention, the ballast water in the cap may be prevented from flowing into an apparatus-receiving space to the outside thereof even when the ultraviolet sterilization unit is damaged, and explosion of the ultraviolet sterilizer caused by an explosive gas may be prevented because the explosive gas is blocked from flowing into the cap.
