Title:
WAVE ENERGY CONVERTER FIXED TO COAST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/088442
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wave energy converter fixed to the coast, the wave energy converter: having an automatic tensioning unit, which is fixed to a seabed near the coast, acquires pendulum motion power by horizontal movement wave power bidirectionally proceeding on a water surface, and prevents wire drooping with the acquired pendulum motion power by means of a wire, so as to transmit the pendulum motion power toward a power transmission device and a power generator on land, thereby enabling a large, continuous output to be obtained without disconnection even though the wave power is not transmitted; simplifying a pendulum motion unit and a structure for supporting the pendulum motion unit, so as to facilitate maintenance and repair; allowing the pendulum motion unit to perform a forward pendulum motion and also allowing a buoyant pulley to force a reverse pendulum motion of the pendulum motion unit, so as to smoothly perform repeated pendulum motions corresponding to the horizontal movement of the wave and to enable a quick response to a change in the wave level of the sea; having an improved structure so as to enable sufficient durability to be satisfied while obtaining wave energy from multi-directional sea currents by means of connection joints having a clearance, even though the wave power is transmitted in several directions; and having the improved structure so as to enable the wave power to be structurally absorbed in multiple directions in which the wave is to be transmitted, and to enable the restoring capacity of a floating body to be improved. According to the present invention, the wave energy converter fixed to the coast comprises: left and right vertical supports of which the end portions are fixedly coupled to the seabed of the coast; a floating block bound to the upper portions of the left and right vertical supports, and capable of being raised and lowered according to the movement of the wave; a fixed block disposed at the lower side of the floating block and fixed to the left and right vertical supports; the pendulum motion unit comprising a rotary shaft, which is horizontally supported by the floating block, has a connection block provided in the middle thereof, and has at least one rotatable connection joint arranged at the left and right sides of the connection block and connected to be linkable with the same, and a vertical connection bar, which is connected to the upper side of the connection block and transmits rotational power of the floating body to a pulley; the floating body connected to be hung from the lower side of the connection block, and performing a pendulum motion by the horizontal movement wave power; the buoyant pulley linking with and rotated by the rotary shaft so as to assist the pendulum motion of the pendulum motion unit; a pulley support connected to both end portions of a pulley shaft of the buoyant pulley, and having the upper portion, which is provided to be movable upward and downward according to the movement of the wave, and the lower portion fixed to the seabed; a motion power converting unit connected so as to be linked with the vertical connection bar, thereby converting the pendulum motion of the pendulum motion unit into the rotational power; a gearbox disposed on the land so as to convert the rotational power of the motion power converting unit, transmitted by means of a wire member, into continuous rotational power by using weights and a one-way clutch transmission method; and a driving power transmitting means for transmitting the output of the gearbox toward the power generator.
