Abstract:
An external tooth gear (3) of this cup-shaped wave motion gear device (1) has a cylindrical extension portion (37) that is formed thereon and extends from an end of an external tooth forming portion (36) thereof. A space between the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical extension portion (37) and an end surface of an internal tooth gear (2) is sealed by an oil seal (13). A space between an outside lubrication portion (11) on the outside of the external tooth gear (3) and an inside lubrication portion (12) on the inside of the external tooth gear (3) is blocked by a lubricant separation prevention part configured from the cylindrical extension portion (37) and the oil seal (13). The mixing of different types of lubricants supplied to the outside and inside lubrication portions (11, 12) can be effectively prevented.
