Abstract:
Disclosed is a hydraulic converter comprising an oscillating element which is driven in an oscillating manner by a natural force and the kinetic energy of which can be converted into hydraulic energy by means of a hydraulic machine, said hydraulic energy then being converted into mechanical energy by means of another hydraulic machine in order to drive a generator or the like. In order to prevent the system from being subjected to excessive mechanical loads, a braking device is associated with the oscillating element. Said braking device allows the oscillating element to be decelerated and can be designed as a hydraulic or mechanical linear brake.
