Abstract:
An apparatus for making electric energy (100) comprises a floating body (110) configured to be at least partially immersed in water and to oscillate along a substantially vertical direction by the action of waves. The apparatus (100) also comprises a tie-member (120) arranged to connect an outer frame 200 to a counterweight (140). The counterweight (140) is located within the floating body (110) to carry out a relative movement with respect to the floating body 110. The apparatus (100) comprises then at least one electric power generator (130) associated with the floating body (110) and arranged to transform the mechanical energy deriving from the oscillation of the floating body (110) into electric energy. The floating body (110) comprises a pulley (115) arranged to engage with the tie-member (120) in such a way that, when the floating body (110) oscillates along the substantially vertical direction and the counterweight (140) keeps instead substantially its own position by its inertia, the tie-member (120) slides on the pulley (115) bringing it into rotation and operating the electric power generator (130).
