Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a wavelength conversion member (1D) that has sufficient strength even when thin and that also has high luminous efficiency, and to provide a backlight unit (2), a liquid crystal display device (4), and a production method for the wavelength conversion member (1D). [Solution] A wavelength conversion member (1D) wherein a wavelength conversion layer (30) is formed by dispersing a spherical first cured material (30L), which is formed by curing quantum dots (30A, 30B) and a first polymerizable composition that includes a first polymerizable compound, in a second cured material (30P2), which is formed by curing a second polymerizable composition that includes a second polymerizable compound. Also, a backlight unit (2) and a liquid crystal display device (4) that are provided with the wavelength conversion member (1D), and a production method for the wavelength conversion member (1D).
