Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to provide: a wavelength conversion member with which it is possible to curb the occurrence of peeling at the edges during cutting; as well as a backlight unit and LCD device using said wavelength conversion member. This wavelength conversion member comprises a first substrate, a wavelength conversion layer, and a second substrate in this order. The first substrate and the second substrate are both substrates having a support, a barrier layer and an organic layer in this order. The barrier layers in the first substrate and the second substrate both contain at least aluminum and phosphorous. The organic layers in the first substrate and the second substrate are both layers formed using a composition containing a polymer A having a glass transition temperature not exceeding 50°C and a polymer B having an acryloyl group or a methacryloyl group in the molecule. The wavelength conversion layer is a layer having at least one type selected from the group consisting of quantum dots, phosphor particles and phosphor pigments dispersed in a matrix made from an acrylic resin.
