Abstract:
Provided is a wavelength conversion member whereby light extraction efficiency can be increased and light emission efficiency can be enhanced. A wavelength conversion member 10 characterized by being provided with: a phosphor layer 1 including a glass matrix and an inorganic phosphor powder dispersed in the glass matrix; a glass layer 2 having a refractive index equal to or lower than the refractive index of the inorganic phosphor powder, the glass layer 2 being disposed on the surface of the phosphor layer 1; and a fine uneven layer 3 having a refractive index equal to or lower than the refractive index of the glass layer 2, the fine uneven layer 3 being disposed on the surface of the glass layer 2.
