Abstract:

Provided is a wavelength conversion member which has high reliability. A wavelength conversion member (100) according to the present disclosure is provided with: a phosphor layer (20) which comprises a matrix (21) that contains ZnO and phosphor particles (22) that are buried in the matrix (21); and a first protective layer (30) which contains at least one substance selected from the group consisting of ZnCl2, ZnS and ZnSO4, and which covers the phosphor layer (20). For example, the first protective layer (30) is in contact with the phosphor layer (20). For example, ZnO is a c-axis oriented polycrystalline ZnO.
