Abstract:
Provided is a wavelength conversion member having excellent heat dissipation properties. This wavelength conversion member is provided with wavelength conversion particles having a phosphor and a first matrix surrounding the phosphor, and a second matrix surrounding the wavelength conversion particles and having a higher thermal conductivity than the first matrix. The phosphor is at least one phosphor selected from the group consisting of a phosphors constituted from quantum dots, phosphors constituted from a metal complex, and organic phosphors, for example. The first matrix includes at least one matrix selected from the group consisting of resins and glass, for example. The second matrix includes inorganic crystals, for example. The inorganic crystals are zinc-oxide crystals, for example.
