Abstract:
Provided is a wavelength conversion member having phosphor powder in a glass layer of SiO2-B2O3-RO glass, the wavelength conversion member being characterized in that the composition of the glass layer includes, in mol%, 10 to 70 of SiO2, 6 to 35 of B2O3, 0 to 48 of ZnO, and a total of 1 to 45 of RO (RO is at least one selected from the group consisting of BaO, CaO, MgO, and SrO), and is substantially free of Li2O, Na2O, and K2O, and in that in the composition, B2O3/(ZnO+RO) is 0.2 to 0.8. According to the present invention, a glass sealing material can be obtained in which reduction of emission intensity over time is suppressed.
