Abstract:
Provided is a wavelength-variable laser device, which is capable of performing a highly accurate phase control, while suppressing heat interference, and is capable of stably outputting oscillation light having a desired wavelength. This wavelength-variable laser device is provided with: an optical amplification means that is provided with a low-reflection surface, which reflects light having wavelengths excepting a predetermined wavelength, and outputs the light having the predetermined wavelength; a wavelength control means that controls the wavelength of light propagating in an optical waveguide; a phase control means that controls, using heat outputted from a heating means, the phase of the light propagating in the optical waveguide; a reflecting means that totally reflects inputted light; and a heat dissipation means that suppresses transfer of heat to regions excepting a region where the phase control means is disposed, said heat having been outputted from the heating means.
