Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wax-based thermoplastic organic binder composition for powder molding, and a feedstock composition using the same. As the organic binder contains a backbone polymer comprising a polyolefin copolymer having a carbonyl group, resulting in excellent liquidity and thus excellent bonding properties with various solid phase powders such as metals and ceramics, the organic binder is an environmentally friendly material which can suitably be used for manufacturing a highly inductive feedstock which is useful for low pressure powder molding such as slurry casting, powder injection molding, and micro powder injection molding. In addition, the feedstock composition comprises: metal powders which are useful for manufacturing a metallic sintered body, a composite sintered body, and a ceramic porous body; and an inorganic material in the form of powder, staple fiber or a nanotube.
