Abstract:
Provided are: a wax composition for a candle; and a candle which comprises the wax composition and a wick. Even when any wax component is used, the wax composition is less susceptible to cracking and exhibits excellent moldability, duration of combustion, diffusion of an aroma, and surface gloss. When molded into a candle, the wax composition ensures excellent surface appearance and causes little bleeding of oil. Specifically, provided are a wax composition for a candle, and a candle which comprises the wax composition and a wick, said wax composition being a composition which comprises (A) a wax and (B) a side-chain crystalline single-polymer or copolymer prepared using a higher α-olefin having 10 or more carbon atoms and which is characterized in that the content ratio by mass of component (A) : component (B) is 81:19 to 99.99:0.01.
