Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for producing an aqueous hypochlorous acid solution without requiring the use of any acid and without causing the substantial generation of a chlorine gas.
Specifically disclosed are: a process for producing weakly acidic hypochlorous acid, which involves a step of treating a hypochlorous acid salt solution with a weakly acidic cation exchange resin; an apparatus for producing weakly acidic hypochlorous acid, which involves a weakly acidic cation exchange resin; a container for producing weakly acidic hypochlorous acid, which involves calcium hypochlorite and a weakly acidic cation exchange resin having a buffering function at about pH 5; and weakly acidic hypochlorous acid produced by the process.
