Abstract:
Provided is a wearable device that performs detection as to whether the wearable device is being worn on the body of a user. The wearable device comprises: a body section; a first proximity sensor disposed on a first side surface of the body section; a second proximity sensor that is disposed on a second side surface of the body section, the second side surface forming a prescribed angle or greater with respect to the first side surface; and a determination unit that determines whether the body section is being worn on the user's body on the basis of sensor signals from each of the first proximity sensor and the second proximity sensor. When the body section is being worn in the user's ear, the first side surface faces the cavum conchae and the second side surface faces the antitragus or the antihelix.
