Abstract:
[Problem]
To provide a wearable information terminal that can be used for a long period of time.
[Solution]
A wearable information terminal (100) worn on the user's wrist and equipped with: a mode-switching unit (253) that switches between operating modes, that is, between a normal power mode and a power-saving mode having different power consumption amounts; an angular velocity detection unit (24) that detects the angular velocity, with the lengthwise direction of the wrist defined as the axis of rotation; and a threshold value comparison unit (252) that compares the angular velocity with a prescribed threshold value. The mode-switching unit (253) is configured so as to switch the operating mode from the normal power mode to the power-saving mode on the basis of the angular velocity comparison result. Therefore, a transition from a usage state to a non-use state can be determined accurately, and the operating mode can be switched appropriately.
