Disclosed in the present application are a wearing detection method, and a related apparatus. Provided in the present application is a head-mounted device, comprising: a first loudspeaker (107), a microphone (106), and a processor, wherein the first loudspeaker (107) is used for sending a first ultrasonic wave; and the microphone (106) is used for receiving a second ultrasonic wave, and the second ultrasonic wave is at least part of the first ultrasonic wave, which is received by the microphone. When the difference between the amplitude of the first ultrasonic wave and the amplitude of the second ultrasonic wave is a first value, the head-mounted device is configured to be in a first state; and when the difference between the amplitude of the first ultrasonic wave and the amplitude of the second ultrasonic wave is a second value, the head-mounted device is configured to be in a second state, wherein the first value is different from the second value. In this way, the head-mounted device provided in the embodiments of the present application can automatically control the working mode of the head-mounted device in a more intelligent and flexible manner on the basis of application scenarios, thereby reducing the power consumption of the head-mounted device.
