Disclosed in an embodiment of the invention are a weather information notification method and device. The method comprises: acquiring contact information of a mobile terminal, the contact information comprising historical communication records and/or address book information; acquiring locations of contacts according to the contact information, and acquiring weather information of the locations where the contacts are located; sorting and displaying the weather information according to a preset priority; and transmitting, to the contacts, the weather information by means of a preset method. The invention acquires information of an address book of a user to search for corresponding weather information, and sorts and displays the weather conditions of locations of friends in the address book, thereby ascertaining the weather conditions at the friend locations in real time. Moreover, threshold comparison is performed to inform the user of an extreme weather condition in a city in which a friend is located, so that the user can express his/her concern. The invention adds social network features to a weather and alarm clock function, thereby significantly increasing the enjoyment of a product.
