Abstract:
Smooth rewinding and storage of webbing is effected using the driving force of a motor. When a coupling between a tongue and a buckle is released, a main attempt at rewinding the webbing onto the rewind shaft is carried out by rotating an output shaft of a motor in order to rotate a rewind shaft in a rewinding direction for a preset time. Retries are then performed repeatedly by rotating the output shaft of the motor using a preset driving voltage in order to rotate the rewind shaft in the rewinding direction, and the motor is stopped when the drive current reaches a preset current value. Further, when retries are being carried out, the time from when the motor starts rotating until the motor stops rotating is measured, and the retries are terminated when the measured time drops to or below a determination time, and storage assistance to rewind the webbing onto the rewind shaft is terminated.
