Provided are a webpage animation rendering method and apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the number of webpage elements to be loaded and the size of a preset number threshold (S110); if the number of elements is greater than the preset number threshold and the element container comprises animation attributes, deleting the animation attributes to obtain a new container (S120); if the number of elements is greater than the preset number threshold and the element container does not comprise animation attributes, the container acts as a new container (S130); if the number of elements is smaller than or equal to the preset number threshold, adding animation attributes to be rendered to the element container to obtain a new container (S140); and on the basis of a preset data loading mode, loading the elements to the webpage, and when the new container comprises animation attributes, implementing corresponding animation rendering (S150). The present invention automatically adapts and rationally loads corresponding animation effects, improving the webpage user experience.
