Abstract:

A wedge for fixing a PC steel, comprising a plurality of split pieces (11) combined in a conical shape around the outer periphery of the PC steel at regular intervals. The wedge further comprises a restraint ring (20) holding the split pieces (11) in the conical shape, and having projections (21) inserted into clearances between the split pieces (11). Since the projections (21) of the restraint ring (20) are inserted into the clearances between the split pieces (11), the arranged split pieces (11) are uniformly held by the restraint ring when the PC steel material is tensed, so that an added stress can uniformly act on the PC steel. Thus the wedge prevents the added stress acting on the PC steel from being non-uniform.
